Lady Gaga strikes AGAIN! This time in a pair of Penis heeled shoes! Sure to never disappoint and always turning heads, Ms G turned up for her appearance on American Idol in these bad boys from London company Void of course coming in at just over £2500. Needless to say the producers at American Idol did all they could to keep Gaga’s shoes under wraps, but you know I have to ask the question… WOULD YOU?

V Magazine recently named Lady Gaga as their new fashion and art columnist and boy are we excited. According to WWD, her first piece will debut in the May 12th issue and as per her twitter, she soon plans to resurrect “TRANSMISSION GAGAVISION” episodes. The best part of all of this is that she was able to get her ‘monsters’ involved in her “Drawn This Way” contest.  The winner will be announced tomorrow and the illustration will run with the column so we shall see shall we digital fashion girls!

The March issue of Vogue Magazine features Lady Gaga and the spread, photographed by Mario Testino, is just gorg! Lots of pieces by Alexander McQueen and also Louis Vuitton and Haider Ackermann. The article is very well-written and gives Gaga fans great insight into her way of thinking, from the “Lady” point of view.

We are so used to the Gaga, the blood, the screaming, and over the top garb, that we fail to realize that she is actually very well educated, uber talented, and an all around family girl. I love that we get to see a different side of her, in images and words.

The writer, Jonathan Van Meter, said it best:

“The Gaga half makes immediate, intuitive sense, an utterance that sounds like an infant’s first word but is, in fact, French and means, essentially, to be utterly enthralled by something—excited to the point of being touched by madness. (That it describes both the pop star and her uniquely obsessed fans makes it even more perfect.) But it is the Lady part of her name that has gone underexplored. “

Are we the only ones anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new DIY Beauty Book by burlesque beauty, Dita Von Teese? She recently tweeted a promo pic where she did her own hair and makeup and as usual she looks flawless! Flaunting lots of boob action with haute red lipstick and eyewear courtesy of Michael Schmidt, an edgy designer that has dressed the likes of Rhianna, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Janet Jackson, and Fergi-licious!

There is limited info at this time. Dita is teasing us with anticipation. so look out for the book this summer. In the meantime, check her out as she rocks the runway for Zac Posen in NYC this week!

Lady Gaga was recently appointed as Creative Director for Polaroid and oh did she make it worthwhile. We got goo goo for Gaga as she unveiled a futuristic product line that she co-designed for the “Polaroid Grey Label.”  Polaroid GL20 Image Capturing Sunglasses. Yaaaaaaaas, new technology. OMG! We love it!

Check her out conducting major fashion business at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center January 6, 2011.  The intl pop star addressed the fans and industry reps while she gave a demonstration and said, “Smile! You’re so fuc*ing famous!” and she took a photo of the audience. “You can come to one of my shows and wear them. Take pictures of me dancing on stage,” Love her!

Soon, the company will release a version that allows instant upload to social media sites…oh boy! Twitpics galore!!! lol. To date, there is no release date published; however Polaroid wrote this as the product press release:

The wax version of Lady Gaga was recently unveiled at Hollywood’s Madame Tussaids. We must say, the $300,000 (gasp) wax figure looks pretty lifelike; gigantic couture hair and all. Gaga fans were given the opportunity to vote on what kind of clothing they wanted her to wear. There are a total of 8 Gaga installations at Madame Tussauds Wax Museums around the world, so needless to say, Lady Gaga is dressed in a different look in every city.  At the London museum, the she rocks  a wide-shouldered navy Armani suit with a Philip Treacy telephone hat, but in New York, she’s in a fashionable black dress and a wide-brimmed hair hat.  Love how they got the fans involved!

Now as for Perez Hilton’s pink striped get up…..just as appauling as the fact that Lady Gaga no-showed at the event!

I LOVE GRACE JONES!

She is undoubtedly one of the most forward thinking fashion icons there ever was or will be and in my opinion is THE original when it comes to controversial dressing.

The Lady GaGa’s, Rhianna’s (we all remember her Italian Vogue spread paying homage to Ms Jones) and Amber Rose’s of the world, all have images and styles that at one time or another have imitated and had elements that are extremely reminiscent of Jones. And who can blame them for adopting this eye-catching style…I mean, who wouldn’t want to be a fashion icon???

Grace’s Bone structure = FLAWLESS, her body = GODDESS-LIKE & STREAMLINE, her hair = ICONIC ALL BY ITSELF! (She’s been rocking a buzz cut from back in the day, ask somebody!!)

There’s no way that you wouldn’t be able to pick her out in a crowd!

The Jamaican born model, singer and actress helped to mold and revolutionize fashion in the 1980′s with her androgyny riddled, gender bending, bare it all ways! And as we all know fashion always comes full circle. No wonder women everywhere seem to be incorporating Grace’s style into their own.

Grace taught and still teaches us to be comfortable in our own skin. She encourages us to dare to be different and lets us know that it’s OK to do things in fashion that not everyone will like or understand.

She’s a Bad Bish!!!! Plus she was married to Dolph Lungrun who played Ivan Drago in Rocky IV, one of my fave films of all time! They were a hot couple back in the day!

We salute you GRACE JONES!!!!
