Fashion Mashup: JC Edition

JCGoGo

Phillip Mimms has recently collaborated with our beloved Jeffrey Campbell brand to create: Jeffrey Campbell: DNA! According to Mimms, his “project is called “Jeffrey Campbell: DNA”. Each shoe is 100%, entirely consisted from pieces of other JC shoes. It is from the idea that, if shoes had DNA, it could be extracted and injected into others – making a whole new shoe. This is my interpretation.

Ok so we know these shoes really don’t exist, but ummm, we Neeeeeeed & we Wannnnt!

Devoted fashionistas, can you figure out which JC shoe styles were used to create these shoe concepts? Hmmmm, wonder if they will ever become a reality? What do you think dolls?

Ahhhhhhhhh, the NEON, OMG Massive Hawtness!!

Kate Moss in ‘Good Kate, SUPERbad Kate’

KateM

Kate Moss is featured in W Magazine’s “Good Kate, Bad Kate” editorial, which has some very strong religious connotations. Kate is featured as many characters such as a bride, a widow, dead, alive, Jesus, AND the devil. Quite interesting…but Kate is killin’em nonetheless…With all of the illuminati talk, this looks like storyboard for a Rhianna video. (Laughs…and Sighs) Your thoughts?

How do you feel about this imagery? Strong connotations eh…

Timeless…Ageless BEAUTY

The Most Coveted Celebrity Hair

mcx-emma-watsom-assets-9-de

In Yahoo!’s year-end trend report, users searched for Emma Watson’s hairstyles, second to Jennifer Love Hewitt! Jennifer Aniston? Not so much. Hmmm, we wonder why Kim Kardashian isn’t top on the list? Oh yeah, she has had the same do for like ever!

Although it has since grown out, we still covet Emma’s pixie cut from a year ago. Haute!

Emma Watson (known as Hermione Granger in Harry Potter) is also widely respected for her knowledge and interest in fashion, and for the support she has given the British Fashion Industry. She has twice been chosen by Christopher Bailey to feature as the face of Burberry in their Autumn/Winter campaign in 2009 and Spring/Summer campaign in 2010. As well as appearing on the cover of numerous magazines she has been photographed by the world’s top fashion photographers including Karl Lagerfeld, Mario Testino, Nick Knight and Patrick Demarchelier.

GREEN is the New Black!

Emma has also worked closely with organic and fair trade pioneer People Tree, helping founder Safia Minney develop a teenage range for Spring/Summer 2010. As well as promoting fair trade and organic fashion, Emma has been heavily involved in the design and look of the company’s Spring/Summer range 2010 and is credited as Creative Adviser.  Her relationship with People Tree continues as she even collaborated with the company on their Spring/Summer collection for 2011.

Bright Enough, Tight Enough…

vmag-editorial

I love this editorial spread. “If it’s bright enough, tight enough, or eye-poppingly printed enough, odds are it’ll work on any figure,” V Magazine proclaimed a couple of years back. Its kind of a throwback, well it IS a throwback, but  hey so what, its still haute nonetheless. In this spread, (issue #63), they styled two models of different sizes in the exact same looks so that readers would agree that size doesn’t matter when it comes to fashion. Do you agree with that? Your thoughts?

London, Paris, New York or Hollywood????

hollywood tights

Hey Guys

Yet again I have fallen in love!

This time it is with Henry Hollands “City” collection. The man who, if I may say so myself, is a bloody genius has created a range of tights which are available on his website and from hosiery label Pretty Polly and threw in matching jumpers for good measure!

Check them out below!

LONDON

PARIS

NEW YORK

HOLLYWOOD

Photographs taken from www.henryholland.co.uk

Jumpers retail at £250 and Tights retail at £12 both available now from the Henry Holland website.

I can’t decide which one I want the most. Its a given that I have to rep the UK but to be honest I’ll just take them all…. ;-)

Fashionably Yours

British Vogue iPad App

Vogue-iPad-App-Contents

The one-off British Vogue iPad App (aka the glamorous experiment) is a complete version of the December 2010 issue of the magazine, which has a star-theme for the holidays.

The cover of the app is the same as the magazine, but a button appears that links to a little behind-the-scenes movie that Mario Testino’s team made of his shoot with Emma Watson. There are several behind-the-scenes videos of different elements of Vogue shoots, including a how-to video with Lisa Eldridge that list the make-up products used in one of the shoots.

Other features:  The ‘Fashion Player’ photo shoots are streamed with music and moving images) and ‘Vogue Shops’ (all of the front/back of book shoot contents categorized); however it has been said that the app is a bit inconsistent and somewhat incomplete and why have all of the contents of the shoot, such as the name and price of the model’s shoes that you could just die for, and no link to shop? Also, there is absolutely no integration or link to the Vogue.co.uk website. Defeats the whole purpose of being “digital.” In any case, it was their first attempt at joining the digital world and we love Vogue so we will give them another chance to improve.  App price is $3.99
