Kate Moss in ‘Good Kate, SUPERbad Kate’

KateM

Kate Moss is featured in W Magazine’s “Good Kate, Bad Kate” editorial, which has some very strong religious connotations. Kate is featured as many characters such as a bride, a widow, dead, alive, Jesus, AND the devil. Quite interesting…but Kate is killin’em nonetheless…With all of the illuminati talk, this looks like storyboard for a Rhianna video. (Laughs…and Sighs) Your thoughts?

How do you feel about this imagery? Strong connotations eh…

Timeless…Ageless BEAUTY

Controversy over French Vogue’s 10 Year Old Cover Model

thylane-lena-rose

A storm of controversy has irrupted over the images of ten year old French model, Thylane Lena Rose Blondeau; daughter of Véronika Loubry (actress and television presenter) and Patrick Blondeau (French international soccer player). Thylane has appeared in several editorials and landed the cover of Vogue Enfant.

Véronika has responded to numerous critics who have blasted her for allowing her daughter to be photographed in this light, “Thylanne doesn’t know about the buzz and I want to protect her from the deepest of my heart . . . she’s so young.” She stated to a blogger, “My daughter isn’t even naked, no need to blow this out of proportion.” Some say that Thylane is being sexualized!

Fashion de arte is curious to know what YOU think. Do you agree or disagree???

Lanvin for H&M

Lanvin H&M Collection

Go backstage at the film shoot for the Lanvin and H & M collaboration

An ad for the highly anticipated Lanvin collection available in over 200 stores on November 23ed. The full collection will debut on November 2nd online in a short fashion film.  Ohhh we HEART! We can’t wait to buy ALL of Alber’s pieces!!  Affordable couture, ahhhhh! NY Mag wants to know:  How excited are you? And how long would you wait in line for this? Bananas!

Psst….just an observation: Check the ‘supermodel’ second from the left. Does she still have IT? Let’s discuss Alber’s obsession with older models. I can see a trend in the making. Let’s not forget that he hired Kristen McMenamy for last season’s campaign. She has a very interesting, somewhat androgynous look!

It may be festival season, but it does not have to mean denim hotpants and wellies are your only option. How about a more Couture approach?

I always have been playing around with the idea of an editorial about my favorite American Teen Icons growing up in the 90’s, and some teen inspirations and iconographies from different decades before me. Mickey Mouse, Elvis and James Dean are the most popular and expected of course, but I also added the unexpected ones I haven’t seen used a lot in fashion/ portrait stories, like Jason Priestley as Brandon Walsh in Beverly Hills 90210, music/teen legend Bob Dylan, Julie Newmar as the Catwoman, Mark Wahlberg as the high school dropout and male prostitute Eddie Adams (aka Dirk Diggler) in one of my favorite films ever Boogie Nights, Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean, Molly Ringwald in Sixteen Candles & The Breakfast Club, and, of course, what are teen fantasies without Peter Pan, Britney Spears, David Bowie and Brooke Shields? With the support of Fusion models ‘very’ editorial board, and my creative team, all my teen fantasies came to life. I am also been inspired by world renowned stylist Nicola Formichetti’s work and career and I added my own artworks throughout the story, inspired by Nicola’s endearing creative genius. He also found time to help me edit my story through his busy schedule, on a plane from Tokyo to LA for the last MTV VMA’s and I feel so honored, I can’t ask for more.”  ~Lope Navo
