Kate Moss in ‘Good Kate, SUPERbad Kate’

KateM

Kate Moss is featured in W Magazine’s “Good Kate, Bad Kate” editorial, which has some very strong religious connotations. Kate is featured as many characters such as a bride, a widow, dead, alive, Jesus, AND the devil. Quite interesting…but Kate is killin’em nonetheless…With all of the illuminati talk, this looks like storyboard for a Rhianna video. (Laughs…and Sighs) Your thoughts?

How do you feel about this imagery? Strong connotations eh…

Timeless…Ageless BEAUTY

Frankie Morello’s Trailer Trash Couture

Wellll, not trailer trash, but you get it. Luv the concept behind Frankie Morello’s crazy HAWT runway show @ Milan Fashion Week. Somewhat of a trailer and sand, bonfire couture show, Lol. Models and bottles (beer bottles that is), cigarettes, rollers in their hair, and bras “on top” of their shirts. Yowzers, don’t you just love themed shows? Highly entertaining I must say! Super cute swimwear and cover ups, but I think I heart the  menswear (via Fashionisto) collection way more…and check out the male models! What about you?

Just in case you missed the Frankie’s runway show at the top of FDA for the past week, here is your guilty pleasure all over again!

Denis Gagnon: Curated Couture Exhibition

denis-gagnon-for-bedo

The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts is currently exhibiting, “Denis Gagnon Shows All,” an installation curated by Stéphane Aquin, until February 13, 2011. The exhibit which features the work of Quebec couturier Denis Gagnon, is free of charge and set in a visual design by well-known architect Gilles Saucier; who has managed to transform the museum into a “meeting place for fashion and architecture….Fashion is thought of as fleeting, at the mercy of the mood of the times and made of perishable materials. Architecture is monumental, designed to last for centuries. And yet what the two have in common is the fundamental function of sheltering the human body.”

On the walls, photographs show the raw materials used such as lace and leather, while videos feature the clothes in action on the runways and in the street.  Montreal photographer and filmmaker Martin Laporte designed the audiovisual elements of the exhibition. How fab!

For those of you who cannot attend, Urbania Magazine is publishing a special issue devoted to Denis Gagnon, as they sponsored his 2011 collection runway show.  If you can attend, please be sure to come back and share your experience:

“Like architecture, fashion is an applied art, meant to be ‘inhabited’ and to say something, to express a state of mind, an identity, an aspiration”

Lanvin for H&M

Lanvin H&M Collection

Go backstage at the film shoot for the Lanvin and H & M collaboration

An ad for the highly anticipated Lanvin collection available in over 200 stores on November 23ed. The full collection will debut on November 2nd online in a short fashion film.  Ohhh we HEART! We can’t wait to buy ALL of Alber’s pieces!!  Affordable couture, ahhhhh! NY Mag wants to know:  How excited are you? And how long would you wait in line for this? Bananas!

Psst….just an observation: Check the ‘supermodel’ second from the left. Does she still have IT? Let’s discuss Alber’s obsession with older models. I can see a trend in the making. Let’s not forget that he hired Kristen McMenamy for last season’s campaign. She has a very interesting, somewhat androgynous look!
