On Monday evening Karl Lagerfeld previewed his new short film, The Tale of a Fairy after sparing no expense at the debut of his Chanel Cruise Collection fashion show in Cap d’Antibes; in the South of France.

Starring Freja Beha, his muse, as the fairy (of course!), Lagerfeld describes it as:

A movie about an ill-advised use of money which begins with violence and ends with feeling.

As if being a German designer, photographer, artist and having his very own “Diet Coke” butler isn’t enough, Karl Lagerfeld has taken on the role of filmmaking. What is next? World domination? Well just maybe, but for now let’s focus on his newest accomplishment; ice cream and fashion. Two things that I believe should go hand in hand.

On April 21st at the Tribeca Film festival, A-list fashionistas rushed in for one thing; ice cream! Lagerfeld was hired by the ice cream company, to direct 3 short commercials advertising their tasty treat, Magnum Ice Cream Bars, a European brand that is starting to melt its way into the United States.

Rachel Bilson is the star of these commercials portraying a ballet dancer, a fashion model, and an art student. In each role she is eating one of these Magnum Ice Cream Bars. (Yes I did say “model” and “dancer” eating in the same sentence) Obviously Lagerfeld has a sense of humor as he was playing against the different stereotypes.

Wellll, not trailer trash, but you get it. Luv the concept behind Frankie Morello’s crazy HAWT runway show @ Milan Fashion Week. Somewhat of a trailer and sand, bonfire couture show, Lol. Models and bottles (beer bottles that is), cigarettes, rollers in their hair, and bras “on top” of their shirts. Yowzers, don’t you just love themed shows? Highly entertaining I must say! Super cute swimwear and cover ups, but I think I heart the  menswear (via Fashionisto) collection way more…and check out the male models! What about you?
